It's the championship game and my first time playing in a stadium, the crowd is cheering for us because we are the pick to win and the the energy on that field would be enough to light five more stadiums. I did not start but eventually went into the game. Keep in mind, rugby games are only 14 minutes long and I thought to myself, this is my time. We were backed up near the other teams try zone and the ball was in my hands. I was stuck between a tackler and a pole then everything went black. I woke frustrated and ready to hit someone but couldn't walk straight. That's when I knew, I had a concussion. I played until coach took me out and sat for the rest of the season until my doctor cleared me. My first tournament back was one to remember, we were the defending champions of it and only had real competition with one other team. We played them once and won, along with all of our other games, then played them again in the final. We ended up losing but it was the best experience I had ever had, our team stayed together and it was a feeling that I missed having. Injuries are setbacks and we need to allow ourselves to recover, but once we do, man the feeling of being back is unlike any other.
